If someone were to find this they would then be able to sign up for all manner of things online and set up any number of direct debits. Furthermore they might have a serious racket going on in which case they might have their own business and might use your bank details to make you buy things off of them. This then would allow them to empty as much money as they need from your account into theirs before you found out.
    Of course by shredding you’d make this impossible. However most of us would argue that we don’t tend to get post that has this information on it, or that we would tear this post up and be more careful.
    However what we would admit to getting is post with our name on, post with our address on, post with our e-mail on and post with our birthday on.
